Survey Links Activities and Future Success

The correlation between interscholastic athletic/activity participation and success later in life has been well documented.  A recent survey by Harris Polls furthers that connection.  The survey asked more than 2,000 adults about their high school experience and compared it to their education beyond high school and career accomplishments.

Some of the highlights from the data collected include:

73% participated in some form of athletic activity.

64% of athletic participants went through some level of higher education, compared to 45% of non-participants.

15% of athletic participants have an income level greater than $100,000, compared to 9% of non-participants.

69% of athletic participants feel their participation was extremely or very important in providing them with skills to work towards a common goal.
